Spring regenerations...
I was walking to the library this afternoon (or should I say yesterday afternoon since is waaay past midnight?) and I saw something marvelous. There's what I thought was a a weird little tree growing close to my uni (I took a picture of it during last winter's snowfall, just go to my post dated January 4th to see it): up to now I figured it was dead, since it basically looked like a dried up branch literally sticking out the medieval walls of my town. But when I passed by it yesterday I was amazed: the most wonderful lilac flowers had bloomed from it and now people stop and look at it, tourists take pictures by it...he has become quite the king of the valley! :-D Mirabilia mundi...

non solo l'albero è bello ma tutta la vallata. maggio è il mese dei miracoli... ciò che sembra morto in realtà è vivo...

How beautiful!

When I bought my house on the Lake, there was an ancient, twisted apple tree on it. It was completely devoid of leaves (it was Feb.) and it was hollow on the inside. I figured it was dead, and that we would eventually cut it down.

Much to my shock and delight, come May, it bloomed! Then is bore fruit! I always loved that tree.
